Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon is a premium bourbon whiskey produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is known for its smooth and approachable character, making it an excellent choice for both bourbon enthusiasts and newcomers to the spirit.

Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon is crafted using a meticulous production process. It is made from a mash bill that includes corn, rye, and malted barley, and is aged in new charred oak barrels for a minimum of 8 years. This aging process allows the bourbon to develop complexity and depth of flavor.

As the name suggests, Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon is sourced from individual barrels, ensuring a unique and distinct flavor profile for each release. This adds an element of excitement and variety to the brand, as no two barrels are exactly alike.

Overall, Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon is a high-quality bourbon that showcases the craftsmanship and expertise of the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Its smoothness, balanced flavors, and accessible nature make it a popular choice among bourbon enthusiasts looking for a versatile and enjoyable whiskey experience. Let’s dig in!

Value – The MSRP is $23 but I bought this on sale for $7 so in terms of value I think this is at the top tier. Is there any other bourbon that you can buy for $7? Also happens to be a Buffalo Trace product. I think not!

Appearance – Kind of a cheap looking bottle but I actually bought this on sale for $7 so what do you expect!

Nose – Licorice / Cinnamon / Raspberry / Ice Cream

Palate – Maple Syrup / White Pepper / Spearmint / Dry Wood

Finish –  Smooth / Red Wine / Tobacco / Walnut

Summary – Woah, what a great bourbon for the price. I have to say at this price it beats buffalo trace standard label anyday. With the way that they have marketed this product as a bottom shelf purchase with its cheap look and design and price. I say shame on them as this bottle puts the best entry level bourbons to the test.

“Way to go Buffalo Trace for making such a not so unique bourbon with a very unique taste!”
